All we need now Master, is the distance to these far away cities so we can pack enough food for the cave goblins. The shortest distance is not a geodesic anymore but a straight line. Your serf

it is cool but
Its Kind Of Extreamly Pointless, Cool Idea, But In The End Just A Pointless Lame App.
Downloaded it in 2011, but it didnt seem to work well on my iPad & I deleted it. Reinstalled it a year later, & found the experience pretty cosmic. Rattles your sense of space! I recommend it for clearing out a few mental cobwebs you didnt know you had. Users who say "Whats the point?" have lost their sense of wonder.
Very entertaining. Great idea. If only it was perhaps able to zoom in on the places. But indeed cool.
For a buck this is cool app. I cant testify to its absolute accuracy, but what a great idea. Look forward to enhancements. Im a fan.
This seems seems pretty interesting and fun in my first day of use. Not only do you "see" what continents and major cities are on the other side of the earth from you, but when you hold your phone more horizontally, you "see" where cities are as well. Im certainly enjoying this, and I very much appreciate the clutter-free simplicity.
Not going to keep you busy forever, but creative and a good way to see the advancement in tech.
Its so cool. Perfect for those of us who are directionally impaired.
Kinda gay, it only shows a transparent globe. Which I release is in the name I just thought it would be cooler.
This a neat app. Really limited on options but I see a huge potential for this app. Grab it now. I see cool stuff happening with one.
If you want five stars then when it auto detects my location that is what should be shown in the map do that and five stars brother.
This morning, out of the blue, I was struck by an idea: wouldnt it be great if there was an app that showed what the earth would look like if it was transparent! It could be called "Transparent Earth". I spent the next few hours fleshing out the idea, then I searched for it on the app store, and there was the app, almost exactly as I imagined it, right down to the name! It was an idea whos time had come. The only difference between my app and the real one is that my app would show a transparent overlay of the earths core, and the opposite side of the globe would look farther away then the closest part, not the other way around. But enough of my nitpicking! Great job, kudos.
I downloaded this app hoping it would be worth my time but it wasnt I turned on location services and it came up in a different country what A WASTE DONT PURCHASE ITS YOUR IPOD IPHONE IPAD I KNOW BUT IM WARNING U I HAVE 2 GIVE IT 1 STAR IT MAKES U
This app is so cool! Well 1 prob. Why dont they make an update so u cud take pics?
So, if I look straight down through the planet from the middle of the United States, Ill see Antarctica??? I think not.
I love this app. You want to know why? It puts the world in perspective. Where are you in relation to the world? Up is up, down is down, right? Wrong. East isnt east, west isnt west. This archaic 2 dimensional view of the world is blown away, replaced with a perspective that allows us to know what it feels like to live on a sphere. 3 dimensions. Up is any way you want it to be, and south America is more left than I thought it was. And when I lay down, I turn my back on most of the human population. This app gives perspective, and thats more important than any Angry Bird.
A very good idea, great app, but it needs some work. For example, I changed my location a couple times and I was still in the same spot, with Antarctica directly below me.-.
Im in NY and it was locating me in China... ????
This is great fun for my geography obsessed son. For the reviewers complaining about Antarctica, I assure you it is accurate based on the magnitude and direction. You have to expect there are going to be large variations with the slightest tilt of the device. The world is in fact quite large, after all.
